Financial AnalystDescription -Job Description- P2P Finance QC Analyst The P2P Finance QC Analyst at HP is tasked to look at the quality check of the end-to-end P2P processes, data accuracy of the feed provided by Ops team members. This role is responsible for analyzing, reporting, and reconciling financial and operational results, identifying, and researching variances to plans, and providing recommendations to key stakeholders. The role engages with various stakeholders to ensure reporting compliance. The role supports priority projects and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Key dimensions of the role include: - Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. - Frequently contributing to the development of new ideas and methods. - Working on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. - Leading and/or providing expertise to the finance delivery analysts and associated project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. - Acting as an expert providing direction and guidance to data driven insights and establishing new data fact patters to drive business actions. Responsibilities: o Working with the various P2P verticals to analyze the E2E process and assess the quality of the data.o Develop, implement and oversee standards/methods for quality checks.o Drive period over period explanations based on business drivers, to provide effective bridge explanations.o Identifies opportunities for process simplification and for better articulation of story behind the numbers.o Performs data extraction as well as diagnosis of financial drivers, and leverages analytics to make recommendations to key stakeholders.o Conducts comprehensive analysis for processes/sub-processes falling under the bigger buckets of P2P operations. o Provides inputs for monthly review of Quality check observations and recommendations with operational analytics and insight.o Interprets financial reports, including forecasts, budgets, income statements, balance sheets and cash flow documents.o Acquires a comprehensive understanding of the organization's financial processes and gains proficient knowledge of the company's operations and business.o Ensures compliance with reporting standards and corporate policies and the integrity of external and internal reporting.o Applies foundational principles and contributes proactively to projects through research and data analysis support, providing regular updates on accomplishments and impediments.o Supports priority projects with direction, maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and sharing information via standardized reports.Education and Experience Required: o Typically, 4+ years of experience in the field of Finance & accounts, with proven P2P experience, exposure to auditing, reporting, controls.
