About the Role:  Tubi is seeking a summer intern to join its Content Metadata Team. The Content Metadata Intern will report to the Manager, Content Metadata and support the broader team and its responsibilities.While metadata takes many different forms, at Tubi, “content metadata” refers to the descriptive aspects of the titles in its library, such their descriptions, ratings, IMDb and Gracenote IDs, and genres. The Content Metadata Team’s mission is to provide valid, consistent, and reliable content metadata for every title in Tubi’s library.  What You'll Do: Metadata collection or creation, collation, cleaning, and analysis - including instituting and maintaining standardization practices, controlled vocabularies, and naming conventions. Finding and fixing problems, such as duplicate, missing, or incorrect metadata. Assisting with the team’s main workflows. Assisting with various stand-alone projects. Qualifications:  Experience with the entertainment industry as well as a passion for film and television. Explicit experience with metadata or an interest in what metadata is, why it is important, and how it functions. Methodical research and organizational skills, careful planning and investigative know-how, and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent time management skills and a high level of self-sufficiency.  Strong communication and teamwork skills. Program Eligibility Requirements: Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate during the length of the program Current class standing of sophomore (second-year college student) or above Strong academic record (minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA) Committed and available to work for the entire length of the program About the Program: Application Deadline: April 19, 2024  Program Timeline: 8 placement; beginning 6/3 or 6/17 Weekly Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, working Monday - Friday Worksite: Hybrid; Los Angeles, CA Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with the final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location, is listed per hour below.
