Manufacturing EngineerDescription -Job SummarySpecialty Printing and Technology Solutions (SPTS) brings HP inkjet technology to new markets through partnerships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).  SPTS applies an entrepreneurial approach to quickly identify and pursue market opportunities for the application of TIJ technology. SPTS provides TIJ solutions to a wide range of markets by leveraging, repurposing, designing and refining HP assets to enable our OEMs success.  SPTS team members have direct customer impact and business influence.The employee will support the Manufacturing Engineering Team within SPTS, which has manufacturing and new product introduction responsibilities.    As a member of the SPTS Manufacturing Engineering team, the employee will have primary responsibilities for TIJ2.5 products, which includes working with internal and external partners to ensure product assurance of supply, manage product cost, and improve product quality.   The employee will have similar responsibilities for other existing printhead/supply products in SPTS’s portfolio.   The employee will also provide team leadership for effective printhead/supply portfolio management and operations PMO management.    The employee will represent the operations organization as part of new product introduction programs, covering TIJ2.5 and other printhead/supplies platforms.  In this role, the employee will be working closely with internal colleagues in Engineering, Marketing, R&D, Finance, Operations and Procurement.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping, documenting, and executing plans to support product changes, issue resolution, new process/capability enablement, quality improvement, and cost reduction.Implementing and supporting approaches for effectively and efficiently managing the manufacture of SPTS productsDeveloping and executing approaches for effectively and efficiently collaborating with internal and external manufacturing partnersEstablishing and/or maintaining the records and documentation associated with these products and partners/suppliersEnsuring the appropriate processes, process controls, measures, and metrics are in place to assure production forecasts are delivered at the required quality while managing product costs. Coordinating team efforts to identify, investigate, and understand risks associated with leveraged and aged SPTS products, and to develop approaches, strategies, and plans to manage and resolve those risks.Leading and tracking cost reduction efforts, and both maintaining and reporting cost measures and metrics.Managing SPTS Operations PMO efforts, while ensuring effective portfolio management, prioritization, workload balancing, and team support is occurringProviding project management leadership and expertise to support team initiatives, projects, and efforts.Providing Manufacturing Engineering team, cross operations, or overall program management leadership for new product introduction programs, including establishing plans, managing schedules, identifying benchmarks, and promoting best practices.Supporting problem solving of technical or process issues both prior to and after product launchesEducation & Experience Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering or related technical fieldAdditional degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or Business a plus10-15 years of TIJ manufacturing and partner management with additional product development, procurement, and commodity management experience desired.Experience with TIJ2.5 and solvent products, and their unique design and manufacturingExperience with the challenges associated with mature TIJ productionDemonstrated cross geography project management skillsPreferred CertificationsPMP Certification a plusKnowledge & SkillsProven project leadership skillsGood analytical and problem solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication, presentation, and persuasion skillsCost management Job -EngineeringSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -25%Relocation -NoEqual Opportunity Employer (EEO) - HP, Inc. provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and prospective employees, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, sexual orientation, age, disability, or status as a protected veteran, marital status, familial status, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic predisposition or carrier status, uniformed service status, political affiliation or any other characteristic protected by applicable national, federal, state, and local law(s).Please be assured that you will not be subject to any adverse treatment if you choose to disclose the information requested.
