This role requires deep understanding of system architecture, networking and storage, along with strong leadership capabilities to drive innovation and excellence within the team.Responsibilities:Lead, manage and mentor a team of architects and designers, providing guidance and support in developing cutting-edge solutions for IaaS and PaaS, to deploy a high performance computing solution as a fully managed serviceCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, CTOs and stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into architectural designs with a view towards ease of implementation, deployment and maintenance.Drive development of system architectures, utilizing high performance workstations and inclusive of 10G/100G networking and Network attached storageOversee the evaluation and selection of technologies, tools and platforms to support R&D initiatives, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standardsEstablish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors and research institutions to stay abreast of emerging trends and opportunities in the fieldDefine and track KPIs to measure success and effectiveness of the offers; drive continuous improvements inclusive of customer use of product and ability to go-to-market.Own and manage system BOM of a comprehensive computing service, inclusive of workstations, servers, switches, storage, cables and all assets required to build the service.Own and manage architecture and design of the IaaS or PaaS to other CSP offerings for PaaS or SaaS (ex: Architect and design integration with S3)Own and manage integration with authentication technologies for varying use casesLead with data-driven decision making, especially to develop the experience and product roadmaps by surfacing and synthesizing “outside-in” insightsDeliver towards the business P&LQualifications:Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles with a focus on cloud/edge/colo infrastructure, products, and servicesMinimum of 10 years of experience in system architecture, network design, and storage solutions with a focus on R&D projects. Deep expertise in system architecture principles and networking protocolsExperience with cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Azure or Google CloudPassion to proactively develop self and team, in both soft skills as well as accelerated technology learnings leading to product applications.
