Autodesk's Consumption engineering team is seeking a hands-on, experienced engineering manager to lead a team of curious, and driven engineers who will build the Autodesk's next generation metering and charging Platform. This leader must embrace diversity as a core guiding principal as to how our team will be composed and leveraged. The role of engineering manager reports to Director of Engineering will be , responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive vision for Autodesk’s buy experiences.ResponsibilitiesManage and mentor the software engineering teamsWork with architects, product owners, and experience designers towards a shared vision and contribute to product roadmaps and business strategiesCollaborate with a geographically dispersed team and stakeholdersHire and grow top engineering talentProvide insight, feedback, and recommendations to senior managementAutomate processes and propose new tools and technologies when neededLead planning, execution, and success of technical projects through Agile ceremoniesPerform code reviews, evaluate implementations, and provide feedback for tool improvementsWork with Autodesk's engineering teams to ensure applications and services are highly available and reliableEngage in technical and architectural discussions; collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, understand use cases, and build toward a cohesive technical strategyMinimum QualificationsBS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience10+ years of relevant industry experience, 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership, and 3+ years of people management experience (must)Understanding of developing large-scale, distributed microservices architecture and platformsExperience working with remote teams and other cross-functional stakeholdersExperience with Scrum and Agile development processes and methodologiesCustomer-facing and service-oriented personRecent hands-on experience within one or more languages – Node.js, React (must),Java(must)4+ years’ experience with back-end programming in Node.js, Java or Python3+ years’ experience with ReactExperience working with Javascript, React, Angular, or similar web frameworks is a plusExperience designing, and building REST APIs, web servicesUnderstand DevOps best practices, architectures, and methodsExperience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and writing build scriptsExperience with continuous integration tools, such as JenkinsExperience with Amazon Web Services (i.e. EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Lambda, Kinesis, CloudFormation, and others) or similar cloud infrastructureExperience with monitoring and logging tools (NewRelic, Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace)Understanding of PCI compliance and security best practicesFamiliarity with responsive web designThe Ideal CandidateWith Autodesk software, you have the power to Make Anything. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $145,800 and $235,950. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
