As part of the Sonos team, you’ll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives. Role Summary:As the Manager of APAC Accounting, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the accounting operations for our APAC entities, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, and Vietnam. A Hands-On role you will be responsible for month-end close, statutory compliance, and operational support for in-country accounting and finance matters. This role requires a strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally and with teams across different regions and time zones.What You’ll Do:Prepare, lead and oversee the month-end accounting close for the APAC entitiesValidate month-end account balances through detailed review of account reconciliations and journal entries Analyze income statement and balance sheet account fluctuationsSupport income, indirect and other various tax processes, including working with 3rd parties on assessments and other projectsManage banking relationships and review and approval of paymentsOwnership of statutory audits where required, including managing requests and communication with various external service providers, auditors and tax advisorsProvide leading practice improvements to existing processesServe as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to the business as new initiatives and projects ariseWhat You’ll Need:Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance5+ years in a financial accounting roleFamiliarity with month-end close processesKnowledge of Local and International taxes and regulations (AU/NZ BAS, GST, PAYG, Payroll taxes, Worcover etc)Strong understanding of accounting for international entities, including statutory requirements  Preferred Qualifications:CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certificationPublic accounting experienceExperience with SAP, FloQast, Auditboard, Alteryx, UiPath and/or TableauAttention to detail with high level of ethics and integrityTakes ownership of areas of responsibility, proactive, self-motivatedExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams across different regionsStrong leadership skills with an emphasis on leading teams in a remote environmentYour profile will be reviewed and you'll hear from us once we have an update.
