Publication Selection Specialist

We are looking for a journals Editor / Publication Selection Specialist to join our editorial team in Belgrade. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to further their knowledge of the publishing landscape and to contribute to the growth and curation of the Web of Science.   About the Team     You will be reporting to a Manager or Senior Manager, Publication Selection Strategy. We are a global team of more than 25 colleagues based in USA, UK, Spain, Serbia, and India.    About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments   Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Minimum 5 years of experience within a journal editorial or publishing department at a reputable STM/HSS publisher, or equivalent academic experience, e.g., PhD/postdoc  Excellent English language verbal and written skills to effectively and accurately communicate complex information and data internally and externally Familiarity with the conventions of, and developments in, scholarly publishing Meticulous attention to detail & Critical appraisal skillsProven ability to make and take ownership of data-driven decisions Familiarity with the Web of Science Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) ​  It would be great if you also had . . .    Proven experience in customer-facing situations that require the requisite diplomacy, discretion, and professionalism Knowledge of how bibliometrics are used in editorial and academic research contexts   What will you be doing in this role?   Evaluate journals in line with the Web of Science selection criteria and make decisions in consultation with manager Investigate, resolve, and reply to enquiries from publishers regarding coverage and selection criteria Own coverage-related decisions and ensure these are completed and clearly communicated to publishers according to defined KPIs Collaborate within the Web of Science editorial team to ensure efficiency and consistency of decision making Contribute towards the maintenance and curation of dynamic collections of scholarly journals for indexing in the Web of Science Core Collection Actively participate in team discussions about policy, process, and workflows Keep up with developments in the publishing industry that could influence Web of Science editorial processes Support colleagues as needed in ensuring a smooth handover from content selection to content indexing     Hours of Work   From 9 am to 5 pm CET, full-time employment. We Offer: Holidays: 25 days paid leave per annum  Private Health Insurance  Paid Lunch  Yearly Bonus  Yearly Merit Plan  My Learning Platform  Fit Pass  Life Insurance Accident Insurance Company bicycles for rent free of charge   Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. At Clarivate, we are committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all persons with respect to hiring, compensation, promotion, training, and other terms, conditions, and privileges of employment.
