Focus is on routine tasks, using limited judgement of standard operating procedures. Supports the overall team.ResponsibilitiesFacility / Infrastructure MaintenancePerforms basic preventative maintenance checks on-site to non-critical facility componentsPerforms basic repairs and maintenance to non-critical facility componentsMonitors the Building Monitoring System (BMS) by following standard operating procedures; works under close supervision in responding to basic alarmsNormally receives detailed instructions on all work; works under close supervisionVendor SupportCoordinates with vendors on standard operating proceduresSite Administration & Incident SupportSupports basic site logs for permits, such as: Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOPs) and scriptsWork Orders & Additional ProjectsCompletes basic routine work order facility requests under supervisionAssists in routine incident management requestsCollaborationProvides assistance to departments during routine maintenance activitiesProvides basic assistance to more senior staff on infrastructure projects; may shadow projects for learningQualificationsWillingness to work a shift rotation that includes day and night shifts and weekendsCustomer oriented attitudeFlexibility and ability to work under sometimes stressful conditionsAbility to communicate in Finnish and English both spoken and writtenAt least basic level of IT skillsDesirableSuitable educational backgroundWork experience from data center, network or server environmentExperience of working with fiber or copper connectionsGood troubleshooting skillsExperience of working with ticketing systems and writing reportsEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability. If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.Equinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
