We are looking for you to work with product teams, analysts and other specialists to design systems and application software, and you will mentor junior members of the team.ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of the Equinix Digital Interconnection Services Engineering team you will be involved in the development lifecycle from design, implementation, testing and support with a focus on delivering solutions adhering to business goals, technical requirements and engineering standards.Design, Development & Support of Software Products and SolutionsDevelop unit test plans, test suites, and perform tests on software solutionsIntegrate software product(s) with other systems, test interfaces, and manage version controlInteract with stakeholder(s) to understand and document the product feature(s)Solve bugs, engage in trouble shooting, and interact with the internal developer communityAssist in analysis & evaluation of new technologies to meet demand for product roadmap and technology platform goalsEvaluation and recommendation of appropriate technologies for product features and platformAdvocate and Follow best design and development practices adhering to Engineering standardsSelf-starter, team collaboration and good communication skillsParticipate in Design & Peer Code Review processQualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related field5+ years software development working experience with 3+ years of working experience in Java and Java Spring frameworkSolid understanding of OSI layers and networking conceptsSolid understanding of cloud networking conceptsWork experience and knowledge of REST API development Work experience of messaging service like Kafka or RabbitMQExperience using RDBMS and/or NoSQL technologiesHands-on experience with public cloud such as AWS, Azure or GCPHands-on experience with K8S, docker and good understanding of virtualization technologies Agile-scrum methodology experience in a software development teamDevops and CI/CD work experience and knowledge will be a plusExcellent communication, organization and presentation skillsEquinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
