About the role
We’re looking for an experienced finance professional to lead all strategic finance, planning, and analysis for the company. In this highly visible role, you will partner with executives and other teammates across the organization as you manage long-range strategic planning, lead the budgeting process and monthly forecast cadence, and drive performance reporting and analysis. You will have the opportunity to directly impact strategic decision-making and build out the FP&A function as we continue to scale. The position will report to the VP of Finance and work closely with our Senior Financial Analyst, our CEO, and other key stakeholders.

Lead and optimize our budgeting and forecasting processes
Manage, oversee, and own the company operating model, rolling financial forecasts, and underlying revenue and cost buildups
Collaborate with functional leaders to analyze the impact of key strategic initiatives and support prioritization and resource allocation decisions
Build detailed financial models and analyses, including benchmarking, gross margin analysis, CAC payback analysis, and scenario-based models with sensitivities
Prepare internal management reports, Board materials, and investor updates
Analyze financial results, identify key trends, and assess current and future business risks
Partner closely with our Accounting, Data, and RevOps teams to continuously improve reporting infrastructure and processes and maintain key metrics that provide actionable insights into business performance
Support fundraising, capital structure strategy, investor relations, and other corporate development activities as needed
What you bring to the role
7+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance or FP&A roles, strong preference for experience in high growth B2B SaaS companies
Experience building teams to implement planning systems-NetSuite, Salesforce and Tableau are preferred
Expertise in building complex financial models
Ability to forge strong relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization
Strong knowledge of SaaS business models, metrics, and unit economics
Analytical prowess - combination of both big picture thinking and command of details
High degree of comfort with ambiguity - ability to solve problems, manage projects, and balance multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Effective at communicating complex topics and influencing others
Roll-up-your sleeves attitude, growth mindset, curiosity, and scrappiness

Compensation - At Human Interest, there are a number of factors that are used to determine the appropriate pay range for each position. We take into account the cost of labor for each position in various markets across the US. The base salary for this position spans $180,000 - $230,000 and represents the minimum in our lowest geographic region to a maximum in our highest geographic region. The salary that we offer to a new employee within this range is based on their location within the US, their relevant job-related skills, and experience. At Human Interest, base salary is one component of the overall Total Rewards package. Depending on the position, additional compensation components such as bonus, commission, and equity may be offered.
