Apple is looking for a technology leader to develop new media/DSP processing architectures as part of a world-class team responsible for the SoC hardware architecture of Apple's platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to join Apple's Platform Architecture group for a self-driven engineer with great initiative. In this highly visible role, you will lead a diverse cross-functional team including software and hardware architects and designers to architect media processing solutions across Apple’s iOS devices. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications The ideal candidate will have 20 years experience in various functions of signal processing acceleration architecture: Broad understanding of various signal processing algorithms in audio and video applications Experience with SOC integration, memory fabric, and various other interconnects for media processing engines Architectural modeling ability including functional, performance and power Experience writing hardware architecture specifications Experience developing hardware IPs from conception to products Description Description As a member of the Platform Architecture team, you will be responsible for defining end-to-end programmable signal / media processing architectures, for video/audio processing, video codecs, and display processing. Responsibilities include: - Work with SOC architecture team, software teams, and product engineering teams to define, document, model, and implement media sub-system architectures - Provide detailed architectural guidance at all levels of the design throughout the design process from concept through production of an SOC. - Author & maintain architecture specifications. Education & Experience Education & Experience BS and 20 years of relevant industry experience. MS/Ph.D. is preferred. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $199,800.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
