NVIDIA is looking for a Commodity Manager to join our Global Commodity Management Group. Ideal candidate will own strategic sourcing and commodity management of connectors and cables in the Boards and Systems Supply Chain Group. This position develops, directs, and influences the global sourcing and commodity strategies that deliver significant value in the supply chain through sourcing strategies, supply assurance, component quality, and gross margin improvements.What you’ll be doing:The Global Commodity Manager (GCM) is a critical part of NVIDIA product development process and is responsible for formulating, presenting and executing the connector and cable commodity sourcing strategy. The GCM must establish strong internal relationships with NVIDIA multi-functional teams. Responsibilities include:Build multi-functional alignment with Hardware and Mechanical engineering to identify commodity sourcing strategies with the supply base able of meeting NVIDIA business segment requirements for Boards and System Supply Chain.Develop and lead supplier relationships and conduct business reviews that improve suppliers value, performance, and account investments through aligned roadmapsNegotiate Master Service Agreement, cost reduction strategies and maintain lead-time, cost systems and split of business decisionsAccountable for component supply assurance and inventory flexibility programs that improve flexibility and minimize liabilitiesDeliver a supplier risk management system, BOM risk reduction solutions, materials risk mitigation strategies and maintaining data integrity to ensure supply resiliency.Rationalize and reduce the number of components and suppliers to bring together alignments and reduce risk due to demand fluctuationResolve impediments to production readiness and to support in execution during productionEnable early supplier involvement to bring innovation from the industry to deliver innovation on SOL (Speed of Light) project schedulesConcentrated effort in NPI to achieve industry leading time-to-market, establishing supplier selection criteria, alternative suppliers, qualify new suppliers, be responsible for the RFQ process, and drive supplier selection in partnership with EngineeringWhat we need to see:BS in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience). MBA Preferred8+ years experience in global commodity management and proven track record in leading connector and cable Supply BaseDeep understanding of connector and cable technology, market, manufacturing process, cost drive and supply landscapeAbility to be innovative in issues related to strategic sourcing, supplier relations, supplier performance measurement systemStrong analytical skills such as cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection and supply/demand analysisExcellent negotiation and leadership skills in supplier management and contract negotiation.Excellent communication and influencing skills taking care of supply base executivesHigh degree of integrity, initiative, and attention to detail in a collaborative environmentTechnical experience to compliment strong program management skills is a plusWith competitive salaries and generous benefits packages, we are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers; we have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us and, due to unparalleled growth, our outstanding teams are rapidly growing.
