As part of the larger Sensor SW & Prototyping team, we take a multimodal approach, using a variety of sensors across HW platforms, such as camera, PPG, motion, and temperature. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Build scalable ML development pipelines to enable rapid iteration, including data curation, implementation of reusable algorithm modules crafted to run on embedded systems, tooling to process large data sets and analysis of KPIs to assess performance Develop validation frameworks applying AI/ML techniques to thoughtfully test complex multimodal ML models Define key performance indicators to assess model performance with a focus on user experience Collaboration with ML Scientists & Engineers to assess parity between ML prototypes and implementation targeted for embedded platforms Work multi-functionally with prototypers, software developers, and data scientists to define, socialize, and implement development practices to ensure the highest quality result Excellent programming skills in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, c, c++), and machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow) Expertise in development of scalable pipeline infrastructure across distributed backend systems Experience with signal processing, machine learning, statistical analysis and scientific reasoning Hands-on experience with large scale data solutions with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g. MapReduce, Spark) and crafting/optimizing scalable frameworks to run machine learning experiments Previous experience designing data collection studies, and analyzing data quality and usability is a plus Familiar with software development standard methods/collaborations Excellent communication skills; comfortable in a collaborative and cutting-edge development environment Description Description We are the algorithm team behind ECG, oxygen saturation, sleep tracking and many more health features on Apple Watch. Our team is looking for a data processing pipeline specialist with in-depth knowledge of system validation, algorithm design, and strong programming and framework optimization skills.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of AI/ML algorithm development, facilitating the design and validation of features through the use of scalable, shared pipelines and common algorithm blocks. You will collaborate with a variety of ML researchers, software engineers, and designers with the shared goal of delivering impactful customer facing health features. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
