The team’s overall goal will be to accelerate the delivery of key Recruiting features in an agile environment while safeguarding the high quality our customers expect from Workday applications.Workday is unique in that it builds enterprise software in the cloud on a single codeline through a continuous development model, allowing for rapid delivery of our software to our customers. The successful candidate will be expected to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines, be passionate about building high quality enterprise applications and be innovative in their ideas.About the RoleDesign and develop an OO product in a metadata-driven development environment.Write and maintain SOLID, robust, efficient and maintainable code using an OO framework and tools.Solve challenging problems in our Recruiting application related to performance, scalability, and resilience.Write reliable unit, integration, and system level tests that will run on our CD pipeline.Understand and promote industry best practice.Mentor and learn from other Recruiting team members in the USA and Ireland through pair programming, code reviews, knowledge shares, hackathons, etc.About YouBasic Qualifications:5+ years of hands-on experience crafting performant, scalable, and robust applications using object-oriented principles within an OO language framework (e.g., Java, Python, C#, C++, XO, etc.).3 years of experience in developing automated testing frameworks across different levels of the testing hierarchy.Other Qualifications:Embrace software development as a collaborative endeavor, growing in an agile environment where continuous learning and knowledge sharing are paramount.Previous involvement in designing and building business-focused applications.Exhibit a strong desire to learn and continuously improve your craft.Proven ability to influence team-based technical decisions effectively.Possess a proactive problem-solving demeanor, relishing in overcoming challenges and contributing to successful feature rollouts.Must excel as a great teammate, equipped with strong verbal and written communication abilities.Knowledge in talent acquisition and/or familiarity with the Federal business domain would be beneficial.Exhibit a delivery-oriented approach, with a strong aim to achieve long-term objectives while effectively handling day-to-day tasks.At Workday, we believe every potential recruit brings value to the table. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
