This position requires an ability to be adaptable to fast changing business/operational conditions, while providing timely and accurate analytics and reporting to Finance and Operations management. Strong cross-functional collaboration, ability to influence across the organization as well as possession of outstanding analytical skills are required. The candidate needs to have an in-depth knowledge of Operations Finance, Cost Accounting concepts, inventory, absorption, variances, gross margin, applicable China and US GAAP accounting standards and manufacturing acumen.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct CostingLead and supervise all costing function in support of the China Manufacturing OperationsUnderstand business drivers and to provide Management with timely variance and analysis reports of product cost and manufacturing KPIs.Perform deep analyses of production orders and BOM change request for anomalies, investigate into issues and propose solutions and highlight risks or issuesLead and support annual Global Cost Roll in close collaboration with Singapore and San Diego Costing teams.Develop labor/overhead rates and manage the standard cost setting process to ensure accurate inventory valuationTake charge of monthly forecast and manage the annual budget exercise relating to cost of production and variances.Resolve product costing issues with Work Centers, develop and recommends operational & internal control improvementsFinance lead for cycle counts and inventory valuation matters.Financial Planning & AnalysisServe as a financial business partner for the China Manufacturing site, building key relationships and supporting the achievement of site priorities and key objectivesEnable prudent decision-making by collaborating with site leaders across several departments to evaluate the financial implications of site-specific strategic choices and build thorough business casesWork with business and Management to monitor ongoing Operations costs and help identify opportunities for improving margins.Collaborate with systems teams and other site finance leads to enable visibility into site performance KPIs and share best practicesReview and present to Management monthly financial close and business performance.Lead the development and management of annual operating plans for manufacturing spend, OpEx, CapEx and headcount and monitor adherence to approved budget.Financial Accounting & ReportingPartner with Accounting Manager in setting up the infrastructure including SAP system, licenses and etc to enable local manufacturingProvide necessary support in local statutory compliance and prepare statutory financial statementsAnalyze financial data to ensure accuracy and for compliance with policy and proceduresMaximize long-term shareholder value while protecting corporate assetsListed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position.
