We are looking for an exceptional Secure Firmware Engineer for the Embedded Runtime Team. In this role, you will be an individual contributor developing embedded software solutions for all of our current and future products and making it more secure and robust. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications An authentic passion for firmware security. Highly proficient in C/C++. Direct experience in the overlap between software and hardware security, embedded kernel and driver development, and firmware/software technologies. Understanding of SoC-level design and computer architecture - how CPUs, memory, caches, and interrupts behave in response to code running at the instruction level. Highly professional, with the ability to deliver proven work on tight schedules. Evidence of driving technical innovation. Strong communication and collaboration skills, working within an established team and with people across different teams. Description Description Design and implement secure firmware technologies, drivers, and supporting infrastructure. Work with multi-functional teams to bring up, debug, and verify security infrastructure for new platforms, products, and prototype systems. Help define the software roadmap for new security features and supporting a range of hardware platforms, including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AppleTV, iPod, Mac and Apple Vision Pro. Contribute to security requirements and features for future hardware and custom silicon. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
