As a Software Development Engineer at Apple, you will lead the design, development, testing, and support of all the workflow and data collection systems created and maintained by the Battery Data Systems team. This includes features and workflows in the MES system, integration with a variety of tools, local and abroad, that feed data into the MES and other data systems, and design and development of new applications as needed. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Experience with software development, with focus on data collection and systems integration. Experience in analyzing and reporting gathered data using a variety of sources, including writing direct database queries. Experience with Java, Python, Javascript, and relational databases (Oracle preferred). Consistent record of supporting continuous improvement efforts with software deployments and training engineers how to become self-sufficient and improve processes. Experience successfully interacting and working with internal customers at multiple levels of responsibility in a multi-functional environment. Experience defining and guiding others on process definitions, particularly battery or semiconductor manufacturing processes. Experience evaluating, implementing, and customizing COTS MES systems. Experience with SPC and reporting including tabular and graphic data visualizations in a manufacturing environment applying a tool such as Tableau or other Business Intelligence tool is highly valuable. Able to clearly explain technical issues, support technical decisions, and write technical specification documents. Self-starter with innovation, integrity, strong work ethic and attention to details. Solid verbal and written communication skills Description Description • Coordinate development of scope with users and implement and deliver overall system integration solutions. • Assist in all phases of software implementation, including requirements gathering, development, commissioning, documentation, and user training. • Design, develop, test and maintain data collection and workflow systems maintained by the Battery Data Systems team, as well integrations and interactions of such systems, locally and abroad. • Provide timely production support for metrology tools and MES custom and out of the box solutions, locally and abroad. • Responsible for the organizational change process of the existing applications, ensuring standardization and version control. • Responsible for working with the customers to understand data output requirements and provide reports as needed. • Train engineers, operators, and technicians on the new systems. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $199,800.00 and $364,100.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
