Description Description Lead the day-to-day operations for Software University's Learning and Development team. Manage software training and onboarding programming, including: SWE Onboarding, the Manager Development Program, and Technical Training—such as Swift and App Programming; plus growth and development programs such as Boomerang and Connect the Dots.
Areas of responsibility include:
People Management — Manage a team of technical trainers and project managers. Assign projects, monitor workload and resources, conduct regular staff meetings, and provide ongoing feedback. Provide direction and guidance and ensure team delivery of defined priorities. Conduct regular 1:1s and development discussions with team members; be aware of each direct report’s career goals and partners to support their development plans. Assess, motivate, and drive overall team performance.
Business Engagement and Partnership — Collaborate with internal and external partners to determine how we can best support worldwide business initiatives and impact results. Collaborate with other SWE leaders, the People Team, and Apple University to understand, evolve, create, and respond to training opportunities and initiatives.
Program Ownership — Build and implement development strategies and efficiently and appropriately respond to changes in business priorities. Oversee content development and programming updates to ensure team deliverables are high quality and meet organization requirements. Evaluate, track, and report on the impact of training and programs to senior leadership. Identify new opportunities and use existing opportunities to improve training measures. Oversee the team in creation, curation, and communication of formal training programs. Education & Experience Education & Experience Requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree. Additional Requirements Additional Requirements - Experience in engineering, information design, training and development, program management, or a related field. - Experience managing and leading a team. - Experience and skills in all or some of these areas: software development; training and development; design methodology; QA; usability testing; program management; knowledge of web-based content-delivery mechanisms and underlying technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100.00 and $281,400.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
