The Lead Accountant will own certain accounting areas, including: capital assets, leases, debt, and business acquisitions. In this role, you will help lead the implementation of best practices for our business and global expansion. You will support external and internal audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility and help develop/refine accounting processes and procedures.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishmentsBachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline 1+ year(s) experience with GL accounting and month-end-close3+ years' experience working in public accounting and/or a major public corporation/entityIt would be great if you also had...Strong accounting knowledge of US GAAP and IFRSCPAStrong PC skills including advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, etc.)Solid analytical skillsAble to meet tight deadlines on multiple prioritiesStrong organization and problem-solving skillsWhat will you be doing in this role?Execution of monthly close, ensuring accurate results are delivered on time for reporting in accordance with US GAAP and IFRSPerform account reconciliations and fluxesDirectly responsible for the month end reporting of Capital Assets and IntangiblesWork cross functionally with External Reporting, Finance, Legal, FP&A, Tax and various business owners on policies, processes, and programs, and help drive key system initiatives and improvementsAssist in accounting integration and acquisitionsAssist auditors with internal and external control testingAbout the TeamOur team consists of 5 individuals located within the United States and abroad. Our primary focus is to ensure accurate accounting and timely reporting as it relates to Capital Assets, Intangible Assets, and Debt. We achieve this through our attention to detail, clear communication among team members, and goal setting.Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, salaried position working core business hours of Monday-Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm with the ability to work overtime and effectively under tight time constraints as required at peak reporting periods and while major M&A and other key transactions are being executed. This is a hybrid role working 2-3 days a week in one of our US Clarivate offices.Compensation - US OnlyThe expected base salary for this position is $,85,500-104,500 USD per year. This role is eligible for (incentive or bonus) earnings. Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.
