This role serves as the business partner for internal personnel seeking training design and development deliverables in the way of Instructor Led, Web Based, Video Based, On-the-Job and other modes of delivery.The position will interact regularly with business process owners, training professionals, and with management and team members across departments. Work will be a combination of collaborative team projects and independent assigned tasks.Responsibilities:Serves as a Training Development business partner for some or all of the Operations’ functional areasShares Training Development best practices with all Operations' functional areasAligns Training Development strategies and goals with functional areas in OperationsAssess current risk and compliance levels for all Operations’ functional areas to identify highest priority training needsConducts needs assessments and provides recommendations regarding potential training solutionsDesigns, develops, and implements technical training content and tools to address Operations’ business needsContinuously updates course materials to keep pace with rapidly evolving technology and productsAuthors, reviews, and edits technical training content, design documents and presentationsConducts in-person or virtual classroom training, such as Employee Orientation and Train the Trainer programs.Establishes training effectiveness metrics by measuring increased Operations’ productivity and reducing time lossLMS System Administrator and subject matter expertFacilitates Role-Based Training processes to maintain Roles & Responsibilities in the functional areasRequirements:3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing training organization or a similar positionHighly motivated team player with a positive attitude and strong customer service skillsConfident in exercising independent judgment in performing job dutiesStrong project management skills focused on attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlinesExcellent written communication, verbal communication, problem solving and training skillsStrong understanding of instructional design methodologies and toolsExceptional facilitation / presentation skillsMicrosoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookExperience with Articulate 360 Storyline and Rise softwareExperience with multimedia creation using tools such as Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects, Vyond, Camtasia, or similarExperience with Learning Management System(s) and/or other training management/tracking systemsEducation:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a training/education related field or equivalent related work experience preferredPreferred Experience and Background:Comprehensive understanding of chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or another science as it related to NGS technology.Experience working with technical processes and in manufacturing areasExperience working in the medical device or other regulated industryExperience with Product Lifecycle Management or Document Management SoftwareExperience with administrative functions using Saba LMSThe estimated base salary range for the Senior Instructional Designer role based in the United States of America is: $80,900 - $121,300. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
