An entrepreneurial mindset and spirit will form the basis of this new and exciting division at HP. Job SummaryThis role is responsible for providing guidance for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex software systems that meet specific business needs or technical requirements. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system administrators, and project managers, to create solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure and deliver value to end-users. We strive to provide the best experiences while enabling connectivity from anywhere, adapting seamlessly to hybrid work environments. We are seeking a dynamic System Program Management Team Manager to lead a team of System Program Managers in delivering the next generation of commercial PCs. As a leader in our organization, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, launch, and manage new notebook, thin client, and docking solutions. Responsibilities: Leading cross-functional teams: Leading teams from concept to end-of-life vision, ensuring the delivery of products at the right time and cost structure, meeting production commitments, and maximizing financial performance throughout the product lifecycle. Program management: Managing the entire program lifecycle, from locking down program concepts to delivering the program plan of record (POR), and ensuring production volume and quality commitments are met. Collaboration and communication: Working closely with various internal and external stakeholders, including vendors such as Microsoft, Google, Intel, and Apple, to drive program success and innovation. Technical understanding: Having a broad understanding of various computing solutions and operating systems, as well as technologies like USB-C, Thunderbolt, and display technologies, which are integral to docking solutions. Leadership and mentorship: Providing leadership to subordinate managers and individual contributors, managing headcount, resources, budgets, and schedules, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development within the team. Stakeholder management: Engaging with program managers, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders, and executives to communicate program status, escalate issues, and guide strategic decision-making. Relationship management: Managing relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to meet deliverables, quality standards, and schedules. Process improvement: Proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, driving efficiencies within the organization. Overall, the System Manager is accountable for meeting financial targets, driving innovation, ensuring product quality, and fostering a high-performance team culture. Education and Experience Required: First-level university degree or equivalent experience required; advanced university degree preferred. PMP/PMI certification preferred. Typically 10 or more years of related work experience, including 5 or more years of people management experience. Knowledge and Skills: Advanced leadership skills, including coaching, teambuilding, conflict resolution, and management. Advanced project management skills, including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Superior business acumen, technical knowledge of multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies. Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. Cross-Org Skills: Customer Centricity, Prioritization, Resilience, Team Management, Strategic Thinking.Impact & Scope• Impacts large functions and leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects.Complexity• Provides highly innovative solutions to complex problems within established policy.Disclaimer• This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
