This team has successfully launched watches, handbags, trading cards, and sneakers authentication in North America, Europe, and Australia in under two years. We are a group of diverse teammates who together drive a complete business and are seeking a Sneaker Trainer to be based in Ruislip, UK or Hoppegarten, Germany with 30-50% travel.Who you are:You thrive in fast-paced environmentsYou want to be a part of building a new learning, development, and engagement functionYou enjoy teaching and training your peers and associates on operational training & assessment, communicating goals and providing feedback consistentlyYou keep learner satisfaction and results as your top priorityYou're a problem solver who tackles obstacles head-on to ensure each task is completed with excellenceYou're customer-focused and have a drive to deliver for themYou’re a SME in your category (i.e., sneakers, handbags, streetwear/lux apparel) able to authenticate any level of complexityYou’re passionate about your category and make it a point to stay on top of trends and new releasesGeneral Responsibilities:AuthenticationSpend roughly 12% of week (1 hour per day) with authentication support on the floorProvide additional authentication capacity for team as needed (based on shifting priorities)TrainingConduct engaging and interactive training sessions in for EMEA locations in Ruislip, UK and Berlin, GermanyRun assessments for potential authenticators during interview process and present to management for hiring as neededTrain new hires on authenticationTrain existing employees on new releases, expansion brands and categoriesRun regular refresher trainings with all teamsAssessmentsWork with Category lead and LMS Manager to develop assessments corresponding to the tier training systemWork with Category lead to run assessments and record tier standing for each authenticator quarterlyIdentify and present areas of needed improvement in the tier training system to Category Lead and Training ManagerCoach and provide feedback to authenticators for improvementDocument authenticator's progress and areas of needed improvementKPI: Ensure authenticator growth through tier system with regular group and 1:1 trainingsWork with Training Manager and Category lead to onboard and support new global sites and/or product categories within Authentication Operations within a training capacityMaterials developmentMaintain global knowledge of category trends, drops, and collaborationsAssist with authentication guides through ongoing research, sample sourcing, and bags that come through facility for increased insight as neededProvide input on training methods and effectivenessReportingReport weekly progress and areas of concern to the Category lead, Training manager, and/or Site leads as neededWork with Training team and LMS Manager to document all training processes and share with ebay stakeholdersManage individually assigned projects efficiently and effectively within the constraints of time and budget.Build and maintain trust-based cross-functional relationships with key business stakeholdersOther duties as assigned by Category Lead.Required Qualifications:Expert authentication skills within category: able to authenticate all levels of complexityProactively researches trends and new product lines/dropsMinimum of 2 years’ experience as a teacher/trainer, authenticator or a similar positionExpert skills in training and facilitation for adult learnersEngaging facilitation skillsAbility to build and maintain strong relationships across global sitesFamiliarity with instructional course design and developmentHighly collaborative, able to work with a variety of personalities and roles, thrives in an impactful, creative environment.Personal motivation to enable eBay’s success through our focus on employee developmentLocation: Full time on-site in Ruislip Facility, up to 30%-50% travelPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s DegreePrevious experience driving E2E curriculum developmentCoursework and/or certifications in Assessment Design and/or Lean Six SigmaKnowledge management experienceBlended learning experience in designing training materials and resources for in-person, virtual, and/or hybrid learning experiencesPrior experience in tech, e-commerce, retail, or related industryBenefits:Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
