Working directly with the SVP Services and VP Sales, this role is for strong high-energy and high-productivity reformed SEs and/or evangelists who want to actively drive education and sales productivity of our field sales to help them sell Proofpoint Managed Services.Your day to dayActively engaging in sales strategy with our account managers by: Attending weekly Forecast calls to push for inclusion of ServicesScheduling dedicated time to educate/motivate sales teams to properly position managed services. Collaborating on how we build winning approaches to finding the right customersActively participating on sales calls to deliver (and train sales in delivering) the right message to the right people in those customers, to close deals.Obtaining renewal forecasts and spiffing the Renewals teamProviding frequent updates to the field on new services and capabilities.Creating/editing sales support content– from customer-facing slides to sales enablement to web page text to customer success stories.Knowing the industry. Knowing the customers. Knowing our offerings.Maintaining the internal forecast of all commit / upside et alServing as an escalation point on sales questions around managed services (x-PCMS-SalesAsks).Working with product management and managed services leadership to improve our offerings based on customer feedback.Success will be measured by total NARR closed, growth in NARR, reduction in churn, percentage of reps closing deals, deal volume and price / discounting. You must actively embrace the challenge of message communication and sales support to explain to sales what Managed Services does, what benefits it brings, and why customers can't live without our services – and how we close deals. Penalties for using buzzwords and handwaving; bonus points for simple boxes-and-arrows diagrams or concise analogies and actions for our account managers.Candidates should be equally comfortable discussing our Services with customers, explaining to sales how to sell these Services, and working with our services operations teams to understand what our Services staff actually does for our customers.The role requires both external (customer-facing) and internal (cross-functional) interpersonal skills, as well as a high-energy, self-motivated approach, amazing productivity in creating written content / materials, and sufficient technical aptitude to understand what the Services staff does.
