Many industries are being transformed by the growth of XR technology, creating new ways of working to review, collaborate and create.As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be part of the exciting Workshop XR team within Autodesk. You will be the first responder, performance analyst, system architect, capacity planner, and monitoring expert. A passion for learning new technologies and a desire to solve and better complex problems you come across are the keys to being successful in this role.You will report to a Software Engineering Manager.This role can be located in US or Canada - remoteResponsibilitiesBuild and scale hosting solutions for highly dynamic SaaS based web applicationsWrite Infrastructure-as-Code to deploy across global application environmentsCreate and ensure standards, processes, and best practices are upheld and documentedUse modern administration tools like Docker, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation/CDK to manage and deploy containers and virtual machinesLead a distributed DevOps team and work with software developers and QA during product development to ensure quality controlAutomate processes were possible and create new ways of working when neededCollaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, understand use cases and build towards a cohesive technical strategyParticipate in production support and on-call rotationDemonstrate ownership and drive initiatives that promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellenceMinimum Qualifications5+ years Linux Administration monitoring, reliability, and security of cloud-based high-traffic services5+ Experience managing large-scale cloud-based production infrastructure (AWS, GCP and Azure)Expertise in AWS technologies like EC2, ECS, Lambda, ELB, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, VPC, Dynamo DB, RDS, etc.Expertise with Docker and other container technologyExperience with relevant programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Go, Bash etc.)Expert experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git etc.Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CDK, CloudFormationExcellent problem-solving skills along with the ability to be a team playerBachelor's Degree in related field; Computer Science preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience working with Observability and Monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic, GrafanaProficiency in Go and JavaScript is a plusExperience with NOSQL and RDBMS databasesInterest in XR technologies#LI-POSTLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $110,300 and $190,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
