Enabling 5G PHY/MAC layers, we will be using traditional signal processing algorithms but parallelizing them on the GPU. We also plan to apply Machine Learning / Deep Learning to address PHY/MAC challenges. We are looking for a motivated and energetic senior member to take a strategic role in the architecture and the entire software product development life cycle.What you'll be doing:As a member of Aerial 5G team, you will be responsible for defining and designing performance/verification frameworks for GPU-based PHY/MAC layers for 5G NR/LTE vRAN.Work with 5G Systems, HW and Algorithm leadsCollaborate wth Nvidia’s CUDA team to identify bottlenecks and engineer the right optimization solutions.Define performance and test cases.What we need to see:BS/MS in a relevant field or equivalent experience10+ years demonstrated ability or PhD with 5+ years’ or equivalent experienceTrack record in E2E design/testing of signal processing algorithms at the PHY layer or resource allocation optimization at MAC level.Experience with data science and using visualization tools to summarize large quantities of dataGood understanding of software development and testing concepts for cellular wireless networks and/or terminals.Knowledge of CPU and GPU computing architecture, as well as memory and I/O interfaces.Familiarity with air interface performance analysis, characterization and optimization.Experience in one or more programming / scripting languages: C/C++, Python, Java, Perl, shell scripting.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Experience in designing and leading FW timelines for Wireless SoCsAppetite to learn the details of how next generations of GPU will operate and build a best-in-class Software-Radio 5G stack that can fully use their power.Excellent communication and collaborative skillsWith competitive salaries and a generous benefits package (www.nvidiabenefits.com ), we are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
