If you want a brilliant, fast-paced, mission-driven environment, then Illumina is the place for you.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with STEs to develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.Conduct functional, regression, and sanity testing to identify software defects.Document and report defects encountered during development and testing, working closely with the development team to facilitate timely resolution.Participate in root cause analysis and steps to reproduce in order to contribute to the improvement of development processes and procedures.Contribute to the creation of automated testing engine in order to enhance testing efficiency and increase testing coverage.Requirements:At least 2 semesters remaining in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field (preferred from a university).Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and testing principles.Familiarity with genomic sequencing and bioinformatics concepts is a plus, but not required.Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java) is preferredMinimum of 3 semesters into your undergraduate studiesFluent in EnglishIllumina believes that everyone has the ability to make an impact, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to providing employment opportunity regardless of sex, race, creed, color, gender, religion, marital status, domestic partner status, age, national origin or ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, pregnancy, military or veteran status, citizenship status, and genetic information.
