Illumina is growing rapidly and offers excellent opportunities for career development.Responsibilities:Provides phone and email support to internal and external customersHandles both inquiry and complaint cases with support from internal team membersDevelops timely, accurate and efficient work habits?Triage, research, and provide resolution on routine issues in a timely, accurate and efficient mannerTriage and dispatch issues requiring field support to Illumina Engineers and Applications Scientists in a timely and efficient mannerConverts case query and resolution to internal Knowledge Base as well as recommend changes to existing documentationCommunicates proficiently verbally and in writing to support a diverse population of customersLog and document customer interactions and feedback using Illumina's CRM in compliance with Illumina’s procedures and work instructions.Identifies sales opportunities and communicates to the commercial teamAcquire and maintain technical competence through trainingsEducation:B.S. or equivalent required; in molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics or related field preferred.Requirements:Prior customer support experience desirable.Practical Sequencing or Microarray experience desirableAble to work in a fast pace dynamic environment with open mindset to feedbackAbility to rapidly absorb complex technical training material and apply them to the job needsDetail oriented with excellent analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills requiredOutstanding written and verbal communication and training skills a MUSTWilling and able to work on weekends, holidays, and flexible hoursAdditional language skills desirableWilling to travel up to 10%The estimated base salary range for the Technical Applications Scientist role based in the United States of America is: $61,700 - $92,500. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
