Senior Director, Business OperationsDescription -Job Summary• This role is responsible for leading operational excellence, optimizing supply chain processes, and contributing to the overall success and growth across large business groups or regions. The role supervises and leads a team of operations professionals (managers and senior managers) providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations. The role holds responsibility of shaping the company's supply chain strategy, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring smooth operations.Responsibilities• Leads a team of managers and senior managers for business operations function by setting overall program objectives and ensuring timely and effective execution.• Leads planning, design, implementation, communication and delivery of the company's demand/supply management and/or business process initiatives across large business groups or regions.• Actively influences internal and external stakeholders and/or suppliers on a regular basis, and manages complex 3rd party relationships.• Drives multi-year strategies and initiatives at the global/business group level by exercising governance oversight in multiple areas (e.g., key policy decisions, resolution of high impact issues, and new product introduction).• Applies broad and deep subject matter expertise to solve a variety of highly complex business issues.• Identifies opportunities to streamline and optimize operational processes across large business groups or regions, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing costs.• Directs ongoing business analysis and performance reporting for executive management.• Leads the allocation of resources, including personnel, budgets, and equipment, to ensure optimal operational performance.• Holds responsibility for talent management and succession planning, ensuring that the appropriate tools and processes are in place to support the team.Education & Experience Recommended• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.• Typically has 15+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field.Preferred Certifications• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification• Certified Professional In Supply Management (Standards Organizations)Knowledge & Skills• Continuous Improvement Process• Data Analysis• Enterprise Resource Planning• Finance• Inventory Control• Inventory Management• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)• Lean Manufacturing• Material Requirements Planning• Materials Management• Process Improvement• Procurement• Production Planning• Purchasing• SAP Applications• Supply Chain• Supply Chain Analysis• Supply Chain Management• Supply Chain Planning• WarehousingCross-Org Skills• Customer Centricity• Prioritization• Resilience• Team Management• Strategic ThinkingImpact & Scope• Impacts entire business and influences company direction across multiple disciplines or areas of HP.Complexity• Uses input from managers and directors to inform strategy and achieve company goals and objectives.Disclaimer• This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
