Loan Administration at Valon The Loan Administration team at Valon powers our operations and ensures we continue to run smoothly. We onboard loans, handle insurance, process payments, and offer a first-class experience to Valon's homeowners from behind the scenes.  About the Role The Lien Release Specialist will be responsible for overseeing Lien Release, NY CEMA’s, Assignments, Co-Ops, Chattel, Lien Release Return Mail, and Power of Attorneys. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in loan servicing or mortgage operations, and expertise in navigating complex loan transactions while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as Lien Release. This role requires creative problem-solving skills, an innovative mindset to approach servicing challenges, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. The Lien Release Specialist will play a crucial role in providing a first-class experience for homeowners with special servicing needs, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of Valon's operations. Responsibilities Works closely with outsource vendor to clear lien release exceptions within state-specific timelines Assists internal and external customers with lien release-related inquiries Processing chattel lien releases Manages daily exception reports Preparing missing assignments Manage incoming POA’s for accuracy and forward to the vendor Manage vendor's signing matrix Print lien releases, submit for execution, and forward to the vendor Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Perform additional duties as delegated by management Ideal Background 2-3 years of loan servicing experience or mortgage operations preferred. Familiarity with special loan products and regulatory requirements, especially those related to SCRA-protected loans. Knowledge of collateral loan documents including, recorded mortgages, original promissory notes, assignments, and power of attorney. Minimum Qualifications Experience ensuring compliance with industry regulations and implementing processes to meet legal requirements. Proven ability to approach servicing challenges with creativity and innovation, finding effective solutions for unique and complex loan scenarios. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal teams and external stakeholders. Demonstrate ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer service, legal, and loan origination, to achieve common goals.
