Engineering Program Manager (EPM) - Data Center Firmware

As a Firmware EPM, you will develop, manage, and drive the end-to-end execution of cross-platform firmware development programs throughout the product development lifecycle and delivery stages. We are looking for someone who is flexible and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically to changes. Strong communication and experience across and between a diversity of teams and team members is critical. You will own coordination of release schedules across multiple programs and teams, as well as handle engagements with 3rd party software and firmware development partners. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications A solid track record of software and/or firmware program management in a high-tech industry Excellent communication and organizational skills Outstanding attention to detail Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles and constant change; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse teams and interact, influence, collaborate, and negotiate effectively at all levels of management Familiarity with x86 system architecture and hyperscale data center solutions is a plus Description Description In this role, you will lead feature definition, implementation and testing while engaging with platform engineering, component engineering, firmware, hardware, testing and factory operations teams. You will need to be able to grasp complex technical topics, abstract key issues and turn them into actionable plans for teams and leadership. You will coordinate with various platform and component teams to identify issues, prioritize tasks and track risks to schedule and product quality. You will be responsible for communicating development achievements, project timelines and status updates to stakeholders and provide regular program status updates. You will also be responsible for working with platform EPMs and operations to drive factory readiness in support of hardware builds. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead feature definition, implementation, and testing while engaging with cross-functional program teams - Schedule firmware release bundles across multiple programs - Align key features and updates into release bundles - Clearly document and communicate changes to platform and component features per release cycle - Communicate key updates and release notes out to broader Apple datacenter teams - Engage with platform and datacenter tools team to ensure test coverage for any new releases Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines with 5+ years industry work experience in software or firmware engineering program management.
