Job Requisition ID #24WD75057Position OverviewAs a software engineering intern, you will join Autodesk Localization team responsible for empowering global customers by delivering quality localized solutions. You will work on migration of Continuous Localization (CL) project from Jenkins pipeline to software application, where you will contribute to designing and developing APIs for CL. You will also be responsible for deploying the application to AWS infrastructure using different services.ResponsibilitiesUse agile methodologies to develop REST APIs for Continuous Localization application.Participate in the complete software development life cycle, from design to testing and deployment.Develop secure applications that meet business requirements.Design and implement efficient database models, queries, and integration using SQL or ORM frameworks.Integrate RESTful services to facilitate communication between different application components.Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of applications through debugging, testing, and optimization.Contribute to the documentation of technical specifications and user guides.Assist in code reviews, identify opportunities for codebase enhancement, and adhere to coding best practices.Set up monitoring tools and logging mechanisms to ensure the health and performance of applications.Implement encryption mechanisms for data in transit and at rest to enhance overall system security.Implement health and performance observability features in applications.Set up monitoring tools and alerts to detect and respond to application incidents in real-time.Minimum QualificationsYou must be enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science or Computing Engineering or other relevant fieldsYou must either be in your penultimate or final year of studies, and will graduate in 2024 or 2025Internship period: May – December 2024 or August 2024 – April 2025 (IWSP) Preferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of programming languages like Python or Java.Solid understanding of object-oriented design principlesExperience with AWS/Azure cloud.Experience with REST API development.Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines with security considerations.Basic understanding of version control systems like Git.Basic knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.Have excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.Hands on experience on docker is a plus.Learning BenefitsStudents will get experience of agile (scrum) SDLC through day-to-day workGain hands-on experience in a professional development environment.Work with cutting-edge technologies and tools used in the industry.Acquire a deep understanding of security best practices in software development.Learn how to implement health and performance observability features in applications.Mentorship and guidance from experienced software developers.Opportunity to work on real projects with meaningful impact.Networking opportunities with professionals in the industry.Potential for full-time employment consideration after successful completion of the internship.Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
