Job Requisition ID #24WD76441Position Overview Autodesk's Forge Product Data team is looking for a passionate Intern Software Engineer to be part of the development team working on building the Forge WIPDM services. WIPDM is one of the cloud foundational services for Autodesk Forge Platform that unlocks a variety of exciting features to cater to various industries like architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media, and others. As a high throughput and high resilient service, WIPDM manages complex design relationships and their properties that help to build next-generation design apps. As a team member, you will have a great opportunity to learn and contribute to various aspects of the system. Responsibilities include working with all aspects of software development phases - design, planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. You will be working with a team collaborating in globally distributed environment which would need good communication skills. Responsibilities An active member of a highly skilled and motivated agile development team , you will be working on the same set of tasks as other full-time employees Working to create and maintain reliable, secure, performant and high throughput Cloud service Involve with all aspects of software development phases - design, planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance Collaborate with software engineers and other stakeholders to iteratively transform high-level requirements into product enhancements that are delivered to consumers incrementally and continually You should be ready to wear multiple hats. Take responsibilities of a Software Developer, Quality Assurance Engineer, and DevOps Engineer Contribute to software design by leveraging cloud design patterns and building cloud expertise Contribute to improvements in the processes and deliverables that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team in responding to customer and business needs Document and present your ideas and solutions accurately and thoroughly Minimum Qualifications You must be enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science or Computing Engineering or other relevant fields You must either be in your penultimate or final year of studies, and will be graduating in 2024 or 2025 Internship period: May – December 2024 or August 2024 – April 2025 Preferred Qualifications Strong programming skills (preferably in Java and/or Python) Strong problem-solving skills and capability to work on complex systems Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and fluid environment Strong written and oral communication skills in English Exposure to Cloud services like AWS, Azure, GCP platform would be a big plus Experience with storage systems - sql and nosql Experience with backend programming languages such as Java would be given a preference Learning Benefits Experience Agile (scrum) SDLC through day-to-day work Gain exposure to cloud-based software architecture and technologies, familiarize oneself with different tools such as RESTful web services, GitHub, Jenkin, Splunk, Grafana, NewRelic etc. Acquire hands-on experience in software development, software test automation, code delivery process, continuous integration Work with different roles and distributed teams globally Hone problem solving and communication skills Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
