Legal Counsel - Commercial Contracts

As the legal counsel for commercial contracts, you will be a legal business partner supporting complex commercial agreements, including our inbound content licensing agreements, software licensing agreements, service agreements, and much more. Reporting to the Senior Director & Associate General Counsel (based in the US), you will work with a highly respected global legal team.  About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Juris Doctorate in good standing to the bar of working location. 3+ years of legal experience leading commercial contract negotiations, ideally including content agreements in the information services sector and with publishers and third-party rights holders. It would be great if you also have . . .   Excellent negotiation and drafting skills. Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence senior executive leaders. Ability for occasional travel on an as needed basis. What will you be doing in this role?  Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including SAAS agreements and a wide range of content licensing agreements with content providers, agents, distributors, and other third parties, including data licenses, distribution agreements, intellectual property licenses, and other complex commercial agreements. Develop contract processes and policies to train inbound content licensing team colleagues and enhance the ease of doing business with publishers and third-party rights holders. Help develop Clarivate’s contract lifecycle management system. Identify ongoing personal training and developmental needs as part of continuous career and professional development. About the Team  Our legal commercial contracts team is a global team specializing in the review, structure, and negotiation of commercial contracts such as content agreements, licensing agreements, real-estate agreements and other general contracts.  Hours of Work This is a full-time hybrid position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.      Clarivate is an Equal Opportunity Employer Vets/Minorities/Women/Disabled
