We are a multi-national company with locations in 20 countries, with each location contributing to Proofpoint’s amazing culture![Role Overview]: This is a great opportunity that will allow for career growth as the Company continues to expand! The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting transactions, financial reporting, and analysis.  The role offers opportunity in handling full set of accounts and to drive process improvement and automation for our subsidiaries in APAC.General Ledger responsibilities including, but not limited to Management reporting packages, Consolidation, Accounting for Subs and AccrualsRespond and provide support to Subs team on finance operation inquiries such as procurement process, payment, expense claim, etc.Review monthly payroll journal entry and coordinate with Global Payroll team for any discrepancyCoordinate and provide timely and accurate information and approval to local accounting firms for AP payment and month-end close proceduresResponsible for timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures according to close calendar set by HeadquarterPrepare journal entries based on supporting document, account reconciliation and scheduleAssist in preparing monthly balance sheet and income statement flux variance analyses for management reportingSupport and coordinate with local auditor/consultant for annual subs audits, tax filing, other local compliance requirementsSupport team in SOX and other Headquarter compliance activitiesIdentify and recommend on continuous improvement and automationParticipate and support on ad-hoc and process improvement projects to support our growth in the region Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree, emphasis in AccountingMinimum 6 years of general accounting experience in industry and/or a public accounting firm, experience in payroll is a plusExcellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to work and build rapport with internal and external partiesHighly meticulous and a problem solverAbility to multi-task, work independently and collaboratively with cross functional teamsProficient with ExcelOnly Singaporeans and PRsWorking knowledge of US GAAP and CPA is a plusERP experience primarily D365 is preferredWhy ProofpointProtecting people is at the heart of our award-winning lineup of cybersecurity solutions, and the people who work here are the key to our success.  We’re a customer-focused and a driven-to-win organization with leading-edge products.
