If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you.As a Principal Architect, you will be responsible for defining the architecture, roadmap and best practices for the One Cloud Device Management Platform, a key component of the pan-HP Cloud Platform. You will work closely with senior stakeholders from various business units, product teams, engineering teams and cloud operations teams to understand their requirements, challenges and goals, and translate them into a coherent and consistent platform solution that meets their needs and aligns with the overall cloud strategy and standards. You will also mentor and guide other architects and developers in the platform team and ensure the quality and performance of the platform deliverables.You will have the following responsibilities:- Define and document the vision, scope, principles, goals and non-functional requirements for the One Cloud Device Management Platform- Design and implement the platform architecture, including the core components, APIs, data models, security policies, integration patterns and deployment strategies- Evaluate and select the appropriate cloud technologies, tools and frameworks to support the platform development and operation- Lead and coordinate the platform development activities across multiple agile teams and ensure adherence to the platform architecture and best practices- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the platform team and other stakeholders, and resolve any architectural issues or conflicts- Communicate and evangelize the platform value proposition, benefits and capabilities to internal and external audiences- Monitor and assess the platform performance, availability, scalability, reliability and security, and identify and address any gaps or risks- Continuously research and explore new trends, technologies and best practices in the cloud domain and incorporate them into the platform evolutionTo be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, design and development, with at least 5 years of experience in cloud-based solutions- Expertise in cloud computing concepts, technologies and platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless, Microservices, etc.- Experience in designing and developing device management solutions for IoT, mobile, PC or print devices, using protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, LwM2M, etc.- Experience in working with distributed systems, data pipelines, streaming, messaging, caching, API management, security and authentication, etc.- Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams in an agile environment, using methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, etc.- Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade senior stakeholders and technical audiences- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance trade-offs and prioritize conflicting requirements- Passion for innovation, learning and continuous improvementHP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:•Dental insurance•Disability insurance•Employee assistance program•Flexible schedule•Flexible spending account•Health insurance•Life insuranceOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $137000 - $211000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
