About this role
As a Product Designer on the Contact Center team, you will help us as we aim to make business communications easier for our customers. You will work closely with other Designers, Product Manager(s), and Engineering peers in your product area as well as other cross-functional partners. You will take ownership of small-to-medium sized projects, work independently, proactively seek out feedback, and start to take on leadership opportunities when opportunities arise within your product area.
What you’ll do…
Design impactful solutions that balance vision, execution, speed, and business potential
Thoughtfully craft product experiences, from initial conception through implementation
Work closely alongside your Engineering partners to ensure the initial vision ships
Partner with Product, Data, Customer Support, Customer Success, and Sales to understand our many customer needs and how they integrate Dialpad into their workflow
Work with Marketing to identify innovative ways to share great stories throughout the user lifecycle within the product, help documentation, and other supporting channels
Make suggestions to evolve our brand language and design system that are intuitive, practical, and convergent
Contribute to your product area’s roadmap, suggesting improvements and innovative ideas based on research you conduct
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
Keep discussions on-track and focused on delivering actionable next steps
Consistently leverages knowledge of your product area, competition, and our customers to make decisions
Able to work autonomously, but check in regular and raise your hand when you need help
Ability to balance effort versus reward
Ability to design full experiences—not just interfaces
Strong visual design skills
Ability to design thoughtful experiences that anticipate user needs and proactively seeks to address them
Ability to prototype in Figma or other design tool (Bonus if you can do this in HTML)
Understand the best fidelity and format for your work that will drive project progress
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous work environment
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
A portfolio showcasing your work and strong visual design skills
3+ years of product design experience
3+ years of using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, or other design tools
Bonus Qualifications:
Experience with real-time communication applications
Experience working with desktop, mobile, and tablet applications
Experience with web-chat clients, customer ticketing systems, or contact centers
Demonstrated experience working with Ai in product design
