Autodesk's DXC engineering team is seeking a hands-on, experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team and driven engineers who build the Autodesk's next-generation digital experience.You will be central to our success who bridges customer needs and engineering requirements with an eye towards a creative future. You will have the opportunity to influence, lead and collaborate on projects with multi-threading, scalable algorithms, animation workflows and performance optimizations. You will lead the team of smart and engineers. You are hands-on and has experience leading the engineers with the depth of knowledge in distributed technologies and cloud computing.As a technical manager, you will contribute to project execution and technical strategic planning. Also, you enjoy with us connecting with the Product Management team and customers to understand their production challenges and are excited to work towards scalable solutions. You will report to manager and its a hybrid work model.Responsibilities Manage one or more distributed teams of software leads, developers, providing both technical and managerial leadership with usParticipate in technical designs, code reviews, influence the decisions and encourage the Agile developmentYou will collaborate with others in cross-functional roles including product management, and software architects, and other team members to achieve shared team goals and effect on product visionOrganize and track software development activities to make progress on the product roadmapCommunicate the status of projects to team membersParticipate in leadership meetings to maintain an awareness of their prioritiesYou will support and guide the Agile development process within the teamDevelop talent; work with each team member, promoting a culture of continuous improvement through ongoing feedbackSupport individual training and career developmentMinimum Qualifications 13+ years of experience in IT Industry10+ years of progressive professional experience in software development BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience (MS in Computer Science or a related degree) Experience managing a team of software developers with demonstrated leadership qualitiesWork experience in distributed application development Ability to break down complex problems into smaller, user-focused solutions Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities, and ability to adapt in a flexible and fast paced environment Creative thinker and strong analytical and problem-solving skills enjoy working with and collaborating with both technical and non-technical audiences With demonstrated capacity working within a large organization Experience with high-level programming and scripting languages like Java, JavaScript and NodeUnderstanding of principles involved in the development of scalable, performant software, using hardware and software solutions Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of AWS like cloud computing environmentHands-on experience with important technologies, such as React, and CI/CD technologies Experience in working with global environment and leading multiple teamsDevelop and mentoring junior software engineers and guiding more senior engineers #LI-AK1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
