The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Manager – Software Development, who can oversee the design, development, and delivery of our core technologies and products within the Controllerships Business Optimization and Enablement Organization. You will be responsible for managing a team of talented developers, ensuring high-quality standards, and aligning with the organization’s objectives and vision. You will also be expected to contribute to technical architecture, code review and testing processes. You should have a strong background in software development, program management, and strong managerial leadership skills. You should be able to drive affectively through change and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.What you'll Do Lead, and oversee the development of core technologies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and current industry standards.Drive strategic initiatives, demonstrating strong management focus during periods where team agility is required.Manage and mentor a high-performing software development team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.Define objectives and key results with a concentration on prioritization to ensure team members are focusing on initiatives that can move the needle.Develop and implement effective program management strategies by collaborating with the program management team to ensure the successful execution of projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating them into the development roadmap as needed.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, define and refine problem statements translating them into actionable development plans.Proactively identify and mitigate risks and leverage technical expertise to provide appropriate solutions that will guide the team through technical obstacles.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing agility, scalability, and efficiency in the software development processes.What you need to succeed Proven experience in senior management roles, with a focus on software development and core technologies.10+ years in software development working on JAVA/Angular/React5+ years as a Software Engineering Manager with a proven track record in meeting commitmentsSkilled people manager with a dedication to excellence and mentorshipProficient in software development methodologies, with the ability to contribute technically if required.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.In-depth knowledge of current technologies and a keen understanding of their strategic implicationsDemonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, leading with empathy and “can do” positive attitude.Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldAdobe is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative action employer.
