The architect will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex issues and will directly contribute to the development of innovative solutions and methods.ResponsibilitiesDevelops aggressive and optimized sensor solutions for new laptops. Includes system floor planning, sensor implementation, and component and technology selections.Influences strategic suppliers on solutions that enable delivering differentiated products for HP customers.Develops strategy and technology roadmaps for sensor solution design and development engineering across the Global Business Unit.Communicates strategy and technology roadmaps to executive staff, industry partners and customers; leverages recognized technical and business expertise to influence, guide, and shape business strategy and decision-making.Provides consultation, design input, and feedback for new product development and design reviews across multiple organizations and architectures.Guides and mentors less- experienced staff members to set an example of electrical hardware design and development innovation and excellence.Education & Experience RecommendedFour-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in electrical design and tools, software packages, architecture of electronic hardware, or a related field.Knowledge and SkillsIndustry expert regarding development of sensor solutions for PC clients.
