Supervisor, Data Center Critical Facilities EngineeringJob SummaryThe Supervisor, Data Center Critical Facilities Engineering provides direct supervision to individual contributor Critical Facilities Engineers, guides Critical Facilities Engineering work teams, and is actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems in data center facilities engineering including but not limited to HVAC/cooling, electrical systems, UPS, backup generators and transfer switches. The Supervisor, Data Center Critical Facilities Engineering assigns tasks and monitors work at frequent intervals, and maintains schedules and workflow of the team.Responsibilities Facilities/Infrastructure MaintenancePerforms highly skilled preventative and corrective maintenance on-site to critical facility systems (HVAC/cooling, electrical systems, UPS, backup generators and transfer switchesPerforms highly skilled maintenance repairs, corrective maintenance, and complex installationsResolves advanced incidents and develops new procedures and techniques to support the overall teamMonitors the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and resolves alarms for complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve. Makes recommendations for new procedures to management teamLeads and coordinates critical infrastructure operationsImplements energy efficiency measures and identifies areas of opportunitiesInspects operation and maintenance of plumbing, fire suppression, and life-safety systemsConsistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.
