Senior product designers in DataRobot typically lead a product pillar or domain area, working with a talented cross-functional team to develop new features and workflows for predictive and generative AI. We are tasked with finding elegant solutions to complex and often novel UX challenges. Our goal is to understand customer needs and translate them into best-in-class product experiences. The ideal candidate should have a practical knowledge of AI/ML and previous experience working in an enterprise software environment. Key Responsibilities:Leading design through the entire product lifecycle, collaborating closely with other designers, engineers, and PMs to create new product features and workflows. This means working with engineers to understand constraints, translating insights from research and collaborating with product management to define and evolve product roadmaps.Influencing a market-leading product. Design has a seat at the table in DataRobot, this is an opportunity to add significant impact. You have an understanding of what makes a great product and are comfortable collaborating with peers in PM and engineering to contribute to the product strategy. Applying user-centric design techniques to tackle big problems, you have experience in running design research interviews, and cross-functional workshops, as well as synthesizing the results.Employing systems thinking to simplify complexity and move from ambiguity to clarity. You have experience collaborating with teams to break down complex tasks and are comfortable framing design activities on projects.Elevating the team by championing design excellence, sharing your knowledge and continuously learning. This means collaborating closely with other designers to raise the quality bar and improve our team’s design processes and tooling.Supporting other designers, helping them develop their skills and progress in their careers.Communicating your design process and decision-making rationale articulately - in both writing and presentation. This is especially important since we are a remote-first company.Key Relationships:Product design, product management and engineering teams along with customer-facing teams and DataRobot customers.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proficient in standard design tools such as Figma along with an understanding of web technologies such as HTML/CSS.Excellent communication and collaboration skillsA foundational understanding of predictive and generative AI technologies and workflows.Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:5+ years experience as a product /UX / interaction designer in an enterprise software environment. working with engineering and product management to ship digital products.Portfolio or presentation of case studies that demonstrate your process and the impact of your work.
