Join us on a mission that matters - one team, one fight.About the Role:NGSIEM (next-generation security information and event management) aims to revolutionize the SIEM space by providing a single solution for managing and operating on security data. We are looking for a lead to build and govern our essential content taxonomy which will normalize, classify, and manage the diversity of data coming from a plethora of products and data sources.The Team:The NGSIEM team is responsible for building out our SIEM product which includes data ingestion, data parsing and normalization, data storage and retrieval and incidents and detection management. The team is distributed across India, Europe, the US, and Australia. This is a cross functional team of engineers, product managers, program managers, content experts and technical operations who are chartered with the mission of building the most compelling SIEM solution in the security industry. What You’ll Do:Build and own a content strategy featuring a comprehensive taxonomy of categories and subcategories of security events Build and own a vocabulary of concepts and define logical relationships and constraints between concepts.Partner with engineering teams to build testing capabilities to validate that the data processed conforms to the taxonomy definitionDevelop tooling to enable engineering teams to utilize the taxonomy more effectively and efficientlyWork in close collaboration with security experts, product managers and engineers to ensure that the taxonomy is meeting the needs of security use cases. Influence prioritization of integrations with the best security outcomesImplement best practices and drive adoption of standardized taxonomies and metadata models.Own and implement a governance model for scalable maintenance of the taxonomy, data model, parsers, and mappings and preventing duplication of concepts.
