This team member will work with a dedicated team of professionals to extend the capabilities of our SDK and UI library that will allow Financial Institutions and Financial Technology companies to build creative application extensions for clients using the Q2 digital banking platform. This person will further refine and mature the capabilities of the SDK and UI components with a focus on the developer experience, allowing developers to create new functionality quickly and easily.RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with technical stakeholders to define SDK capabilities and developer best practices.Work individually and collaboratively to deliver new features and updates to the SDK and the suite of tools used by developers to create SDK extensions.Build maintainable APIs and services in Python and Javascript.Create tools to help developers build and deploy extensions developed using the SDK.Research technologies, standards and services and integrate them into our developer ecosystem.Mentor and educate developers to promote maintainable patterns and ensure successful integration with the Q2 platformSupport over 1500 developers who use the Q2 SDK every day.Continuously evaluate web standards to ensure the SDK stays current.Conduct code reviews of extensions developed by FinTech and FI developers.EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:Bachelor’s degree in computer science and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or master’s degree with 6 years experience, or equivalent work experienceHas 3+ years’ experience with Python.Familiar with MS SQL.Shows an appreciation for detailed documentation.Strong understanding of complex, enterprise architecture.Fluidity on the Linux command line and basic system administration.Experience working in Git along with typical JavaScript & Python build tools.PREFERREDPrevious experience building tools for other developers.Experience building server-side APIs and interacting with a DB using SQL.Experience with banking applications. #LI-AS1#LI-Hybrid#LI-OnsiteHealth & WellnessHybrid & Remote Work Opportunities                                                                  Flexible Time OffCareer Development & Mentoring ProgramsGenerous Retirement Benefit Plans, including a company-matching HSA program.Health & Wellness Benefits, including a 12-weeks of parental leave for eligible new parentsCommunity Volunteering & Company Philanthropy ProgramsEmployee Peer Recognition Programs – “You Earned it”How We Give Back to the Community:You can learn more about our Q2 Spark Program, Q2 Philanthropy fund, and our employee volunteering programs on our Q2 Community page.
