3D/LF Manufacturing Operations - Mechanical Product EngineerDescription -The HP Barcelona site is responsible for the Research and Product Development and Operations of HP Metal 3D Printers and LF Siteprint (Motus). We are looking for a Mechanical Product Engineer to complete the versatile and integrated manufacturing team managing 3D and LF products.The selected candidate will be part of the 3D Manufacturing Operations (3DMO) team located in Sant Cugat del Vallés (Barcelona) reporting to a manager based in Barcelona. He/she will partner with GBU Operations, R&D and NPI Supply Chain groups to successfully introduce new 3D products into world-wide productionKey ResponsibilitiesNPI & Manufacturing :Actively participate in the New Products Design phase working closely with GBU Operations & R&D to ensure product design is optimal from Operations perspective (manufacturability, serviceability and cost).Drive definition and development of product critical manufacturing tools, test and calibrations from early prototype stages to volume production at Manufacturing Partners (MPa) located in Barcelona.Work with outsourced Manufacturing Partner (MPa) to meet delivery, quality & cost goalsSupport service requirementsSubsystem Owner :Understand the design and performance requirements for the products. Manage the testing, qualification, delivery & troubleshooting of your ME subsystems.Ensure design is compatible with the chosen manufacturing processes.Provide design for manufacturing (DFM) and serviceability feedback to R&D to improve manufacturability & reliability.Provide support to production builds at manufacturing site.Track & manage engineering / design changes.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering or related discipline.At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations.Good understanding of material properties, hardware, software and electro-mechanical component design.Competent in reading mechanical drawings & specifications.Familiar with DOE, data/statistical analysis, mathematical modeling and quality assurance techniques.Fluent spoken and written English.Skills and CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills for technically complex issues.Excellent project management skills to lead and coordinate own and others work.Strong drive to make things happens. Able to make decisions taking thoughtful risks.Able to influence on stakeholders to get alignment towards common goals.Able to work collaboratively with teams from other disciplines, cultures and worldwide organizations.Excellent in communication.
