Staff Data Engineer

As a Staff Data Engineer, you will be part of the engineering team at ServiceTitan to help improve our data products and build new ones. This is an exciting role for an engineer to come in and lead the major feature development in the rapidly growing startup. If you share the same values, you might find yourself in a perfect company. What You'll Do:Implement frameworks, design and implement high-performance complex systems to support data and analytical products.Implement high availability, scalable and fault tolerant solutionsLead implementation of modern data curation solutions to allow developers to quickly onboard new data sources and enhance existing data integrations.Partner with teams and systems to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of sources and destinations.Evaluate and implement efficient distributed storage and query techniques.Champion high-quality code with corresponding test coverageParticipate in regular code reviews and engage in constructive discussionsParticipate in Design sessions across different teamsDesign automation tools for monitoring and measuring data quality, with associated user interfaces.What You'll Bring:B.S., M.S. or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field8+ years of experience in Software Engineering / Data Engineering roles working in high traffic, fault tolerant, and highly available environments3+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling, ROI) of systemsExperience with Spark, Python, Java, Scala or a similar programming languageExperience with Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Iceberg, Delta, Snowflake, etc.)Experience with Streaming platforms like Kafka or KinesisExperience with SQL skillsBe Human With Us:Being human isn’t about checking every box on a list.
