We strive to contribute knowledgeable, valuable, and substantive work to support Workday’s attorneys and internal clients, and to help advance Workday’s business goals.About the RoleWorkday seeks a highly motivated paralegal to support the Product & Technology Legal team on a variety of issues, including intellectual property, commercial, privacy, data protection, and global regulatory compliance matters relating to new and existing products and features throughout the entire product development lifecycle. The ideal candidate must be a confident self-starter who can prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with agility and efficiency. Candidate must be a creative problem solver with exceptional judgment. Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with Product and Technology attorneys to understand the strategic needs and goals of the teamDraft clear and concise agreements, public-facing disclosures, disclaimers, terms of use and other external documents.Assist with technology transactions related to third-party products and services.Review and interpret third-party terms to guide the products and technology team and ensure organizational compliance.Provide pragmatic, day-to-day strategic guidance that takes into account legal risk and product adoption issues to advance business goals and initiatives.Triage legal review requests and direct requesters to existing reference material when appropriateTrack status and manage deliverables for large, cross-functional projects Maintain and update forms and process documentation for team initiativesDevelop and deliver best practices training for internal teams and client stakeholders Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned or requestedAbout YouBasic QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of experience as a paralegal at a law firm; in-house experience with general transactional and contract negotiation experience a plusBachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experienceFamiliarity with cloud technology, software, and legal concepts and issuesProficient in Google Workspace suite as well as Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience with a contract management system (preferably Apttus) and Confluence/Jira a plusOther QualificationsCoordinate legal projects using strong organizational and project management skills; uses best practices and lean principles for process improvements.Willingness to roll up your sleeves to drive creative solutions, build efficient processes, and make sound decisions.Exceptional communication skills, with legal and non-legal audiences. Cultivates internal and external relationships and leads project collaboration with cross-functional networks.Committed to personal growth and development by actively seeking feedback and responding with actionDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction, maintain patience in high pressure situations and take initiative where appropriateHandle highly confidential information with professionalism and integrityWorkday Pay Transparency StatementThe annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
