SummaryThe Vice President of FP&A will play a critical and impactful role in shaping the financial strategy of Workiva. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will lead a high-performing FP&A team and work closely with Workiva’s executive team, operational leadership, and other key stakeholders to develop and implement financial models and strategies that align with the company's strategic and financial objectives. Responsibilities:Strategic Financial Planning and ModelingDevelop and execute the company's financial planning processes, including annual and rolling budgets, periodic forecasts, and strategic planningProvide insightful analysis of financial results and trends to support executive decision-makingLead the development and maintenance of sophisticated financial models to support scenario analysis, forecasting, and decision-makingProvide financial expertise to support strategic growth initiatives, M&A activities, and other corporate projectsActively seek out and stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics that may impact financial performancePerformance Analysis and ReportingOversee the creation of comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for senior leadership, providing clear insights into key performance indicators Monitor and analyze financial and operational metrics, identifying and assessing risks and proposing mitigation strategies that lead to improvement and optimizationBusiness PartneringCollaborate closely with executives and department heads to understand their financial needs and provide strategic financial guidanceWork with the executive team to assess the financial impact of business decisions and initiativesWorkforce PlanningPartner closely with company leadership on all matters related to headcount management and workforce reporting - Ensure regular, ongoing visibility to headcount and workforce trends and manage special projects as neededIntegrate workforce planning efforts with other key talent management business processesPartner with key internal stakeholders, using workforce data to support business initiatives (facilities for real estate planning, talent acquisition for capacity planning, etc.)LeadershipLead, coach, and mentor a globally dispersed, high-performing FP & A team Uphold a culture of collaboration, innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvementEnsure the team delivers accurate, timely, value-added informationHistory of followership, including demonstrated ability to attract talent to the company or teamExecutive presence with the ability to build relationships and gain the confidence of executive leadership Proven self-starter with a low ego, high humility, high emotional intelligence, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate at all levels of the organizationSuccess working in fast-paced and ever-changing environmentsBelieves in diversity of people and ideasIntellectually curious with a thirst for learning both the business and peopleWhat You’ll NeedMinimum Qualifications 15+ years experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a minimum of 7 years leading an FP&A team and high exposure to executive leadershipBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related fieldExperience at a top-tier B2B public SaaS company of $500M–$1B+ ARR that has experienced fast-paced growth across global marketsPreferred QualificationsMBA or similar advanced degree with CFA certification preferredHighly comfortable in a global matrixed company environment; able to both strategically lead teams as well as roll up the sleeves to get the job doneExperience presenting financial and business data to executive management, the board of directors, investors, and other external and internal partners Ability to influence at the executive levelExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a simplified way to leadersAbility to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insightsTravel Requirement This position requires up to 20% travel and is primarily outside of the local area and overnightWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements Reliable internet access for any period working remotely, not in a Workiva officeHow You’ll Be Rewarded:Salary range in the US: $228,000.00 - $309,000.00A discretionary bonus typically paid annuallyRestricted Stock Units granted at time of hire401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
