Job Requisition ID #24WD76324Position OverviewWe have a new opportunity to expand the Autodesk PDMS Platform UX team into India and we are looking for a talented UX manager to help us manage that team. The Product Development and Manufacturing Solutions (PDMS) organisation is responsible for products that help our customers in design and manufacturing industries be successful with converged Design and Make processes. The PDMS Platform UX team is responsible for designing the experience for the platform capabilities that underpin those products, with a close focus on the Fusion cloud product. We care about the thoughtful design of frameworks, systems, workflows or UI components that can be utilised by product teams across the organisation. We work closely with the Autodesk Design System team and our counterparts in the product development teams to ensure that our platform is carefully designed to meet the growing needs of our customers.You will report to the User Experience Director for the Platform team, and you will work with a global team of designers and stakeholders located in the US, China, Australia and India to help lead the design of our Platform frameworks, systems, workflows, and components. You will assist in the recruiting and hiring of designers to join the team in India, support the team as it develops, and ensure that it produces valuable design work that contributes to the success of the organization.At Autodesk we look to hire those who reimagine possible, those with diverse backgrounds who enhance our thinking, and leaders who shape the world and our future.This is a hybrid position in Pune, India.When applying, you must include both a resume and portfolio with password if neededResponsibilitiesLead and participate in design projects for the Platform team that require excellent UX and UI design skills. You are an expert in those UX/UI skills which include sketching, storyboarding, journey-mapping, creating high-fidelity mockups and prototypes, designing in Figma, storytelling and concepting, participating in user research, and presenting design concepts to senior leadershipHelp the team understand what it means to have a Platform mindset and how to support other teams who are adopting the platformDefine strategy for the team focused on the execution of goals including dependencies with other teamsPartner with a broad swath of stakeholders when designing strategy or solving problemsPrioritize and scope work for the team, coordinate resources, manage dependencies and consider overall costs and risks to ensure projects achieve goals within specified constraintsMentor more senior designers in system thinking and processesHelp your team identify, customize and apply appropriate design thinking processes to fit project needs, including larger and more complex projectsBe someone who can embrace change and adapt to new procedures or technologies quickly, and help your team do the sameRecruit talented individuals and provide regular feedback and coaching to your team membersMinimum Qualifications8+ year experience in commercial UX/UI design work3+ years of UX/UI design team managementBachelors degree or equivalent work experienceCurrent portfolio of commercial UX project work#LI-CL1 #LI-HybridLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
