Engineering Program ManagerDescription -Job Description:Manage all major milestones of the program and development team across different corporate divisions, departments, regions and ODM to develop, qualify and introduce products into volume production that meet or exceed the agreed upon product requirements, schedule, product cost, development and capital budget, and quality objectives.Job Responsibilities:Responsible for ODM programsResponsible for managing all stages of a program from concept initiation, product development through initial production ramp-up and volume ship.Work with corporate Product Management, Industrial Design and worldwide Development Engineering in defining product requirements.Build and manage efficient program communication with internal resource and ODM supplier.Obtain detailed schedule input from core / extended team members, ODM, identify key milestone dates, document key assumptions, and develop risk management plans. Develop and manage detailed program schedules that include all the tasks required to define, develop, qualify, and transition a product into volume production.  Lead a cross-functional team consisting of representatives from Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Industrial Design, Operations, Quality Assurance and Finance -- ensuring deadlines are achieved and day-to-day functions of the program and related projects take place to keep program tracking to schedule. Chair Team meetings and facilitate interdepartmental meetings to resolve key program issues. Drive externally contracted resources to successfully produce deliverables in accordance with individual program metrics and within Plantronics accepted NPD methodology.Prepare and present program metrics and current status to corporate and local management.Required Criteria:A four-year University degree in Technical or Business discipline is required. Experience on leading international project teams and adapt to multinational cultureGood verbal and written communication skills in both local language and English.Strong person-to-person communication and able to share information with peers, team members from different sites/countries, and management in a timely manner.Speed and fast reactionGood technical and business judgment.  Can understand and explain technical issues to associates in a clear and concise manor that relates to the business implicationsUnderstands product development life cycle and related cross functional issuesStrong LeadershipPreferred Criteria:six+ years’ experience in consumer electronics Product Development environment, which should include 3+ years of Project ManagementExperience on managing either internal development programs or ODM programsAble to produce results in an autonomous environment with little supervisionEngineering background/experience preferredPMP Certified preferredJob -EngineeringSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (China)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
