Become a member of our collaborative and supportive work environment and help us drive innovation!Project Management ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will apply and further grow your experience in technical project management and customer-facing positions to plan, coordinate, track and manage the project(s) to successful completion in both a local and virtual environment.Leading the coordination of our EUC professional services engagements for Workspace ONE & HorizonYou will work directly with technical staff and business subject matter experts to orchestrate project delivery to ensure projects are delivered and executed in alignment with the overall project plan, driving customer outcomes, and customer satisfaction. This will give you the chance to shine and demonstrate your leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills as well as your business acumen.You will successfully develop and maintain project plans including charter, scope, work breakdown structures, estimates, resource plans, budget, task dependencies, schedule, open issues, risk assessment, management and mitigation plans across multiple work streams.You will develop change management skills as you work to quickly define and manage overall project risks and take corrective action in a proactive manner to mitigate risks and prevent issues.Progress through your coaching plan and build your knowledge of VMware’s project management methodology and technologiesProvide clear and timely communication regarding the status of complex large-scale projects – schedule, budget, progress to date, risks etc. - to relevant stakeholdersFollow VMware’s project management methodology and ensure that projects adhere to the defined guidelines and stage gate processEngage with Sales and Account teams to identify/drive account growth opportunitiesDrive continuous improvement of project processes – methodology, templates, best practices etc. based on lessons learned from projects Direct and monitor work efforts on a daily basis, identify resource needs, perform quality review and escalate functional, quality and timeline issues appropriatelyWork on your IT project management certifications to deliver IT automation and cross-cloud solutionsResource Management ResponsibilitiesDrive an effective partnership with the leadership team company wide and infuse proactive resourcing practices in tandem with sales and delivery.Know your talent pool including individual skill profiles/interests, group skill gaps/surpluses, and potential training needs.Understand the staffing need fully, and in the unique context of the client/solution, determine consultant best fit for End-User Computing solution offerings.Collaboration with Project Managers and Practice Managers in the resolution of staffing conflicts.Responsible for maintaining manual resource schedule with a high degree of accuracy and standardization.Facilitation of staffing meetings, to ensure proper resource alignment.Manage Resource Requests across all Geos (AMER, EMEA, APAC, WWCC)Maintain Resource Schedule across all FTE and RetainersInteract with PMs to Confirm Project Start DatesInteract with PMs to Manage Updates to Resource Allocations based on Dynamic Project Start and End DatesAssign Resources to Projects (administration of resource requests and project worksheet assignments)Interact with Resources to Verify Workload, Assignments, and AvailabilityReports various aspects of the business and on estimates to actual data for resource utilization by practice and nationally.Digitalize the Resource Management reporting with the best suited tools.Other ResponsibilitiesYou will be required to work flexible shifts since you will be working with stakeholders from multiple GEOs.What you Bring3-5 years of prior work experience in a professional office environment.1+ years of Professional Services operations experience, resource management a plus.Experience working in a Consulting or Professional Services environment preferred, experience working in the technology industry required.Professional Services Automation application experience preferred.Strong MS Office suite skills- particularly MS Excel.Demonstrable organization and great attention to detail and quality.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities on a regular basis with confidence and professionalism.Ability and desire to quickly learn new systems and technologies.Comfortable pushing back and/or escalating in appropriate situations.Comfortable with working through ambiguity and finding solutions.Project Management Professional (PMP) or Resource Management Certified Professional (RMCP) is a strong plus.Thrives in a remote working environment.Desirable Skills & ExperienceExperience in delivering engagements under PRINCE2, PMP or TOGAF frameworks.Understanding of ITIL frameworkExperience of presenting at a user group, trade show or similar is highly desirableBroadcom is an equal opportunity employer. Broadcom is firmly committed to providing equal employment opportunity for all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, religious creed, national origin, age, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, ancestry, marital status, military or veteran status, union membership, political affiliation, or other bases protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
